Kaya Natin conducts Jesse Robredo: Huwaran ng Kabataan Cleanup Drive in 34 areas in PH

August 20, 2016--Despite the gloomy clouds and  impending rainfall, around 1,500 volunteers across 34 areas around the country went out of their houses to clean  their communities armed only with their tsinelas, walis and a burning passion to live like Jesse Robredo-- a simple public servant who rallied people to participate in his governance.

Mobilized by Kaya Natin! Movement in partnership with Kaya Natin Champions, youth and volunteer organizations, The Jesse M. Robredo: Huwaran ng Kabataang Pilipino clean up activity was conducted as a tribute to Jesse’s leadership legacy and encourage the youth to take part in their communities and join avenues for participation in governance such as the Sangguniang Kabataan.

Different organizations, youth groups, schools and universities joined the activity. In Metro Manila, cleanups were conducted in Cubao, Brgy. Bagong Silangan, and Loyola Heights Quezon City, as well as in San Andres Bukid Manila.

Volunteers in the following northern areas also joined the cleanup activity: Olongapo City, Dagupan City, San Jose City (NE), Llanera (NE), GK St. Joseph (NE), Infanta, and Tuguegarao City.
